Little Reads: Mother Bruce

Have you guys read this book?  It's Mother Bruce by Ryan T. Higgins.  It's possibly one of the funniest children's books I've ever read.  It's about a bear named Bruce, who is definitely a grump.

See?  Told ya.

Bruce likes to eat eggs, but not just any old eggs.  He like to make fancy recipes he finds on the internet (I'm betting he's a heavy Pinterest user.) One day he goes out looking for free-range organic goose eggs and get more than he bargains for when the eggs hatch and think he's their mother.

It's funny.  It's clever.  It's got humor for adults and kids, alike.  And it looks good when you take the jacket off.  Definitely add this to your kids TBR list.

I tried to get her to hold it in front of her face because it would have been hilarious, but she's three so she didn't really get it.  Me trying to explain it to her was pretty funny in it's own right though.  What funny books do you like to read with your kids?

P.S. The author has a pretty great website.  Check it out here!
